Mark Martin

Mark Anthony Martin born January 9th, 1959 in Batesville, Arkansas is a well-known NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver. He races for Ginn Racing; driving the #01 U.S. Army Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Martin is also a part-time racer in the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series racing for Roush Fenway Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, and Wood Brothers/JTG Racing. He has also qualified for the Chase for the Cup all 3 years of its existence.

Martin was listed as the official owner of Matt Kenseth's #17 car, which later Jack Roush bought out his ownership share.

Martin once said during an interview with Christ Myers, that his driving days on the winding roads of Batesville, Arkansas has greatly influenced his road racing experience.

Martin earned the nickname, "Mr. Consistency" in the late 1990s, for he figured amongst the top 10 in most of the races.

Martin is a passionate listener of rap music. He currently resides in Daytona Beach, Florida.
